Finally arrived to Douala...

Apart from the fact that the pilot ask to the all crew to sit down because of severe turbulence... the flight was fine and I arrive safely in Cameroon Douala...

What I want to explore, live & discover is now setting just after the plane door! :)

Waouw! Freshly arrived and a bit confused with the time change, the flight... Hundreds of African starts moving around me, all of them with a special services to propose: One will clean your eyeglass, the other will bring your luggages, another one... and so on... and they will not stop until you shout at them. Unfortunetely its the way it is... what to do?

I get introduce to yakar or something like this: Our guy in charge of the 'arrival/departure protocol' for the company. When he starts talking, I just thought about Phillipe! 'Ouuuii Patron!'

During the flight I had the opportunity to met dewalts our business 'development staff', a brilliant person, simple, clever, fair, ... And in Douala I had the great chance, to met the only one... Mr Wickus! also call 'fatty'. They are all South Africans. Actually Wickus is my housemate, and my boss. A quick draw of the animals... 130 kg, at least 15 to 20 beers per day (after work for sure)... I must point out that he is generous person and respectful! And a good teacher for now ;)

Ill develop when I got time tomorrow, the city, the people, etc... as per my first 3 days staying here.

Take care!

Departure to SA Johannesburg

I'm ready for the new experience...

First desaster: My watch stops... and my credit card did not work at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport... Crazy things always happens when you don't need it!!!

I arrived safely in Johannesburg yesterday, in order to pick up a laptop before flying to the unknown place... Douala - Cameroon!

I am a bit confused about this city (Johannesburg)... It looks like a country under war attack. Every single place are protected with fences, electric doors, guardians... I was already aware about that, but when you come from a country such as Mauritius, you can't imagine people living here.

I do not really feel comfortable... I hope coming back soon in order to visit the countryside.

Well, I am ready to take off to Cameroon in a couple of hours with a collegue. I don't know him at all but it will be interesting to discuss during the flight.

I try to keep the blog posted soon and also think about subject that I can handle here.

I will probably put information and subject related to project management for those who are interested in.

Please feel free to post comments or ideas! (and excuse my english errors...)

Cheers ;)
